Plastic Recycling, Inc. is seeking dependable Machine Operators to join our growing team. The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining shredders, grinders, and washline equipment to process raw plastic materials into clean, properly sized feedstock for recycling. This role ensures efficient production, adherence to safety standards, and consistent output quality.

  •  Operate shredders, grinders, and washline machinery according to established procedures.
  •  Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments to maintain optimal throughput and quality.
  •  Perform routine equipment inspections.
  •  Identify and report mechanical issues or malfunctions promptly.
  •  Sort and feed raw plastic materials into machines, ensuring proper sizing and contamination control.
  •  Maintain accurate production logs and quality control records.
  •  Follow all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements.
  •  Maintain cleanliness standards for all areas throughout the department.
  •  Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets.


Requirements

Qualifications

  •  High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
  •  1–2 years of experience in machine operation preferred.
  •  Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  •  Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety guidelines.
  •  Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  •  Forklift certification and experience required.
