V2X is hiring! We are looking for an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic to support the Modernization and Sustainment site in Indianapolis, Indiana.

 


Responsibilities

Performs a variety of aircraft maintenance, repair, and modification tasks to ensure airworthiness and compliance with company and FAA regulations.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs assembly, disassembly, and repairs on airframes, engines, and systems.
  • Removes, replaces, and repairs parts of engines, airframes, and systems.
  • Performs airframe, powerplant, and propeller repairs and modifications.
  • Conducts routine inspections and troubleshooting of airframe structures, engines, and aircraft systems.
  • Conducts airframe system and component changes and system checkouts.
  • Interprets technical manuals, drawings, and blueprints.
  • Trains and mentors less experienced mechanics

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with diversified jet, turboprop, piston, modification, aircraft/flight maintenance, or airframe sheet metal maintenance.
  • Experience in MROs (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul).
  • Ability to operate all necessary power tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of jet and piston airframe and engine principles.
  • Ability to use arithmetic, blueprints, and specifications.

 

Education and Experience:

  • High school graduate or GED required
  • A&P License is required

 

Security Clearance & Other Requirements:

  • Ability to access systems with information restricted to U.S. citizens per federal contract requirements is required.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance.
