The Associate Investigator utilizes NIR, IR, Raman, data science and modeling expertise to enable R&D, and manufacturing decisions, troubleshooting, and problem solving. Designs and conducts research across multiple project areas using in-depth knowledge and proactive application of scientific principles, theory and experimental design.

What You’ll Do:

Partner with our key stakeholders to provide analytical expertise, knowledge, and solutions to advance decisions, projects and products.
Design and execute experiments, analyses and chemometric quantitative modeling.
Collaborate with stakeholders and partners to solve complex analytical problems.
Partner with resource leaders and stakeholders to ensure alignment on analytical deliverables, milestones, and timelines.
Effectively communicate results, status, updates to stakeholders.
Escalate resource, project, timelines issues as soon as possible to resource leader(s).
Drive innovation and technology through the evaluation, development, and implementation of new techniques, workflows, and/or instrumentation.
Provide input on analytical and capital strategies.
Influence internal and external environment through presentations and publications.
Follow defined document management practices and workflows.

What Skills You Need:

BS, MS in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, or other relevant disciplines
Minimum two years relevant work experience with analytical chemistry techniques
Strong background and knowledge in NIR, IR, Raman, NMR, and/or Mass Spectrometry.
Experience in Python/programming, data science experience (PCA/PLS).
Experience in PLS/chemometrics experience desired.
Proficiency in utilizing scientific methodology to solve technical problems.
Ability to manage broad scope of activities including, conducting experiments, participating effectively in a team environment, assisting scientists from other disciplines with experimental design, and managing multiple stakeholders
Ability to effectively interact with customers, peers, plant personnel, R&D, scale-up personnel, and industrial experts.
Strong communication, troubleshooting, networking, and computer skills to extract, evaluate data, and make sound technical decisions.
Ability to communicate and document research results in reports, presentations, and publications.
Ability to translate complex data into clear objectives and establish practical action plans.
