Overview

The Associate Resident Service Coordinator (ASC) is responsible for serving at properties where there is a vacancy as a result of illness, scheduling or termination and perform and/or assist in all of the duties and responsibilities outlined in the Resident Service Coordinator (RSC) job description. This position requires a motivated and resourceful individual who is sensitive to resident needs, understands resident service coordination, can work within a team and thrive in a relatively independent work environment – taking the initiative to proactively support resident needs.


Responsibilities

  • Update key metric data in AASC Online and/or Family Metrics.
  • Conduct resident assessments.
  • Collaborate with agency partners to conduct programs in the absence of a full-time RSC onsite.
  • Assist with completing move-ins for new residents and deactivations.
  • Assist with conducting regular resident surveys.
  • Support onsite RSC new hire onboarding – training on AASC Online, Family Metrics and site level best practices.
  • Assist Property Manager with lease violations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Social Work, Gerontology, Psychology, Counseling; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • 2-4 years of progressively responsible experience in the resident services field or within community-based organizations.
  • Understanding of community-based organizations and resident supports such as rental assistance, utility assistance and food access.
  • Experience with PC based word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Must have strong communication and administrative skills and be flexible to work at many different properties.
  • High energy and an ability to work well with others is a must.
  • Able to work a varied schedule including weekends.
  • Must be able to travel overnight as needed.
  • Must be willing to travel for training and meetings.
  • Must have reliable transportation as travel throughout the portfolio will be necessary.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License in the state of residence.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate ability to read and comprehend the English language.
  • Fluent in Spanish is a plus.
