Banquet Supervisor


We are seeking a dedicated and organized Banquet Supervisor to oversee the successful execution of our banquet events. This role is vital in ensuring that all functions are carried out smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality and guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise the setup, service, and cleanup of all assigned banquet functions to ensure seamless operations

- Coordinate with event planners, clients, and staff to meet specific event requirements and expectations

- Manage and oversee banquet staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure excellent service delivery

- Monitor the quality of food, beverages, and service to maintain high standards

- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations

- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally

- Assist in planning and organizing banquet events, including layout and equipment arrangements

- Maintain inventory of banquet supplies and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and timely replenishment


Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience in banquet, catering, or hospitality supervision

- Strong leadership and team management skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure

- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

- Attention to detail and organizational skills

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality or management training is a plus

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field required. High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • College coursework in a related field helpful.
  • Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
  • Must be proficient in Windows operating systems, company-approved spreadsheets, and word processing software.
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
  • Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
