Job DetailsJob Location: Corporate - INDIANAPOLIS, IN 46222Position Type: Full TimeJob Category: FacilitiesSummary The Facilities Technician is responsible for supporting the repair, maintenance, safety, appearance, and daily functionality of EHOB facilities. This position performs hands-on facility maintenance tasks, responds to building issues, supports facility work orders, coordinates with outside vendors, and helps ensure facility-related work is completed safely, timely, and to EHOB standards.  This position supports multiple EHOB facilities in the Indianapolis area and the employee may be required to travel between sites during the workday to respond to facility needs, complete assigned work orders, coordinate vendors, and support building operations. The Facilities Technician is expected to take ownership of assigned facility tasks, communicate status clearly, follow up on open issues, and verify that internal and vendor-completed work meets expectations.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Support facility maintenance needs across multiple EHOB locations, including Corporate, EDC, and other assigned sites. Respond to facility-related work orders and building issues, including climate concerns, odors, spills, damage, safety concerns, repairs, and urgent facility needs. Perform minor building repairs and general facility maintenance. Monitor facility conditions. Perform minor plumbing repairs, such as addressing leaks, fixture issues, drain issues, restroom concerns, and breakroom concerns. Perform basic electrical tasks within training and authorization, such as replacing lamps, covers, switches, outlets, or other minor components as permitted. Assemble, dismantle, install, and repair office furniture, shelving, pictures, fixtures, and similar items. Set up and tear down chairs, tables, and equipment for meetings, events, training sessions, and function rooms. Clear snow and ice from entrances, walkways, and other assigned areas; apply salt or ice melt as needed. Check fire/safety lights and related facility safety items according to assigned schedule. Complete routine facility inspections. Maintain exterior areas of the building, including dumpster areas, entrances, walkways, and common exterior areas. Perform immediate cleaning or cleanup duties when needed to maintain a safe, clean, and professional facility. Assist with facility preventive maintenance tasks. Assist with vendor coordination for facility-related services. Escort vendors and contractors while on-site as needed. Monitor contractor and vendor work to help ensure work is completed according to approved scope and EHOB expectations. Verify completed vendor work and report any concerns, incomplete work, or quality issues to management. Assist with vendor relations for facility-related services. Support safety initiatives, facility improvements, inspections, and corrective actions. Follow all applicable EHOB safety rules, procedures, and work instructions. Complete assigned work orders and document work performed in the required system. Communicate work status, delays, material needs, and completed work to management. Other duties as assigned QualificationsEducation and/or Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Trade school, technical training, facilities maintenance experience, or related maintenance experience preferred. Experience with facility maintenance, vendor coordination, building repairs, or general maintenance preferred. Must have a valid Indiana driver’s license and reliable transportation. Must be able to travel between nearby EHOB facilities in the Indianapolis area as needed during the workday.   Other Skills Language skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public group, and/or boards of directors. Mathematical skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts. Reasoning: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of information.
