Job Title: Human Resources Specialist

Job Description

The Human Resources Specialist (HR & Talent Acquisition) supports the full employee lifecycle by combining recruiting responsibilities with core HR operations to deliver an excellent candidate and employee experience. This role operates in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manages both hourly and salaried hiring, including seasonal and professional positions. The specialist plays a key role in ensuring compliant HR practices, efficient hiring processes, and strong engagement and retention across the workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for hourly, salaried, seasonal, and professional roles, ensuring timely and effective staffing.
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to define role requirements, develop sourcing strategies, and coordinate interview schedules.
  • Screen and interview candidates, assess qualifications and fit, and extend job offers while maintaining clear and professional communication throughout the process.
  • Manage relationships with staffing agencies to support temporary workforce needs and ensure service levels meet organizational expectations.
  • Oversee onboarding processes for new hires, including documentation, orientation, and coordination with relevant departments to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Administer employee status changes and maintain accurate HR records, documentation, and personnel files in alignment with company policies.
  • Provide HR policy support to managers and employees, helping to interpret guidelines and ensure consistent application across the organization.
  • Ensure adherence to employment laws and HR best practices, maintaining compliance in all HR and recruitment activities.
  • Maintain and update HR documentation, including reports and dashboards, to support data-driven decision-making and compliance reporting.
  • Support engagement and retention initiatives, including performance management activities, recognition programs, and exit interviews.
  • Assist in managing performance review processes and provide guidance on performance-related discussions and documentation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of HR and recruiting processes to enhance efficiency, candidate experience, and employee satisfaction.

Essential Skills

  • 3–5 years of experience in human resources and/or recruiting, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle recruiting for a variety of roles, including hourly, salaried, seasonal, and professional positions.
  • Experience recruiting and onboarding large numbers of light industrial roles, approximately 20–25 at a time.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with candidates, managers, and team members.
  • Solid project management skills to coordinate hiring processes and HR initiatives from start to finish.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems (ATS) or similar HR technology platforms.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Experience in a distribution center environment may be considered.
  • Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Experience in human resources operations, including onboarding, employee status changes, and HR documentation.
  • Familiarity with working with staffing agencies to support temporary or contingent workforce needs.

Work Environment

This role is based onsite in a manufacturing environment, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The position requires regular collaboration with managers, team members, and candidates in a fast-paced setting that involves both hourly and salaried hiring. After completing training and demonstrating strong communication skills and consistent performance against established metrics, there may be an opportunity for some remote flexibility. The work environment emphasizes professionalism, clear communication, and responsiveness, with regular use of HR systems, applicant tracking tools, and standard office technology.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $74880.00 - $83200.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
