Position Overview
Fieldstrom Staffing is actively building an advanced talent pool of certified Logistics & Material Handling Specialists for upcoming state facility contracts, municipal utility operations, and commercial supply chain projects throughout the greater Indianapolis area. Candidates entering this pipeline are pre-vetted against standard Labor, Trades, and Crafts (LTC) benchmarks, ensuring immediate availability for rapid deployment to support complex warehousing, shipping/receiving, and physical asset distribution.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and execute safe shipping, receiving, staging, and storage protocols for state agency equipment, commercial supplies, and construction assets.
Safely operate material handling equipment, including sit-down/stand-up forklifts, electric pallet jacks, reach trucks, and overhead hoists.
Conduct strict inventory auditing, scanning, and digital data entry using advanced Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to ensure 100% accurate asset tracking.
Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, bills of lading, and manifest documentation, reporting any discrepancies or damaged freight immediately.
Pick, pack, and stage high-volume orders securely for cross-docking, agency distribution, or job-site transit.
Strictly maintain facility safety compliance under OSHA and IOSHA regulations, performing daily equipment checklists and safety audits.
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in an industrial warehouse, distribution hub, or logistics center environment.
Certifications: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant) is highly preferred.
Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, stand for long shifts, and maneuver safely within high-density fulfillment environments.
Compliance & Safety Screening: Candidates must successfully clear Fieldstrom’s proprietary HR Compliance Protocol, which includes comprehensive background screening, verified reference checks, and fundamental safety awareness training prior to placement.
Core Competencies: Strong spatial awareness, accuracy with digital scanning tools, reliable transportation to commute to local Central Indiana project sites, and a safety-first mindset.
