The Lower School Teaching Assistant provides instructional support to students in all grade levels, Kindergarten through Grade 5.

 


Responsibilities

  • Model and teach habits that help students grow in wisdom, compassion, and Christ-like maturity
  • Support teachers in maintaining a safe and engaging learning environment that fosters a lifelong love of learning
  • Provide oversight of students during personalized learning blocks, ensuring a focused and productive environment
  • Facilitate extension activities for students during personalized learning blocks, enriching and deepening their engagement with the curriculum
  • Help students thrive as they develop strong relationships with God, others, ideas, and the world
  • Know and love each student to promote their continued growth and development
  • Monitor lunch and recess, supporting student safety and healthy interpersonal relationships
  • Assist with arrival and dismissal, ensuring smooth and safe transitions for students and families
  • Participate in meaningful, ongoing professional learning during regularly scheduled after school meetings and professional development days

Requirements

Bachelor's degree preferred; teaching and classroom experience; devout Christian who is a member of, associated with, or seeking to be associated with, a Christ-centered community of faith or a church.
