Position Summary Reading Bakery Systems is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Assembler to support the assembly and build of industrial bakery equipment and systems. This role is responsible for assembling mechanical components, interpreting assembly drawings, and supporting production schedules while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The Assembler plays an important role in ensuring equipment is built accurately, efficiently, and delivered on schedule to meet customer commitments. Key Responsibilities Assemble mechanical components and industrial equipment according to drawings and specifications Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and work instructions Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment safely and effectively Install mechanical components, hardware, guards, and support structures Verify proper fit, alignment, and functionality of assembled components Identify and communicate assembly issues or drawing discrepancies to leadership Maintain organized work areas and support 5S initiatives Assist with equipment testing, adjustments, and final preparation for shipment Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements Work overtime as needed to support production schedules and customer commitments Performance Expectations Produce high-quality assemblies with minimal rework Meet project timelines and labor expectations Demonstrate strong attention to detail and workmanship Maintain compliance with company safety standards Contribute to a culture of accountability and teamwork Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or industrial equipment preferred Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and work instructions Ability to safely use hand and power tools Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Ability and willingness to work overtime when needed Preferred Qualifications Experience assembling industrial machinery or equipment Experience using precision measuring tools Forklift or overhead crane experience preferred Technical or vocational training in manufacturing or mechanical assembly Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work throughout the shift in a manufacturing environment. Must be able to safely use tools and equipment required for the role, lift up to 50 lbs regularly, and perform work activities that require movement, lifting, and positioning throughout the facility.
