Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly capable and detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling product components, operating manufacturing equipment, maintaining machinery, and ensuring product quality.
This position plays a critical role in driving efficiency, safety, and quality across our operations. The ideal candidate brings strong technical aptitude, hands-on manufacturing experience, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Production & Assembly
- Set up and operate machinery by positioning parts, loading materials, and entering specificationsÂ
- Perform manufacturing and assembly tasks, including fabrication and welding of fabricsÂ
- Safely start, operate, and shut down production equipmentÂ
Quality Control
- Conduct inspections to ensure product functionality and appearance meet standardsÂ
- Identify defects and ensure compliance with customer specificationsÂ
Equipment Maintenance
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machineryÂ
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and complete minor repairsÂ
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and report major issuesÂ
Process Improvement
- Monitor and adjust machine settings to improve efficiencyÂ
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S)Â
Documentation & Compliance
- Complete production records, shift reports, and incident reportsÂ
- Follow all SOPs, safety policies, and OSHA regulationsÂ
Team Collaboration
- Train and mentor new employeesÂ
- Partner with engineering, quality, and other teams to meet production goals
Requirements
Education
- High school diploma or GED requiredÂ
- Associate’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferredÂ
Experience
- 2–3 years of manufacturing or production experience requiredÂ
- Experience with fabrication, welding, and assembly (especially fabric welding) strongly preferredÂ
Technical Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitudeÂ
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documentsÂ
- Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft OfficeÂ
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilitiesÂ
- Excellent organization and time managementÂ
- Effective communication and teamwork skillsÂ
Certifications (Preferred)
- MSSC Certified Production Technician or similar industry certificationsÂ
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods (8+ hours per shift)Â
- Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbsÂ
- Work involves bending, kneeling, reaching, and repetitive motionsÂ
- Manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levelsÂ
- Required use of PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, and hearing protectionÂ
Compensation & Schedule
