Schedule:

  • Three 12‑hour shifts: 5:45 am to 5:45 pm including every 3rd weekend,
  • Hybrid 2 days a week in office 1 remote upon successful completion of training and must maintain performance standards

Top Responsibilities

  • Assign new business to appropriate teams from overnight business
  • Add assigned team orders in Cerner
  • Calculate daily census
  • Send overnight new business and team census to hospitalist teams and ICU teams (the night team does this for UH)
  • Create admission orders daily for UH and on weekends for MH
  • Triage consult/transfer calls throughout the day
  • Send new business (i.e., ER admits, consults, post-ops, transfer of cares, direct admits, ICU upgrades and downgrades) to appropriate teams for MH, UH, and ICU
  • Prepare UH, MH, and ICU paperwork for the next day
  • Calculate ICU team censuses before evening changeover

Qualifications 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or LPN program preferred.
  • Previous experience in admitting, bed management, patient placement/throughput, or similar hospital operations preferred, including familiarity with demographic and payer‑related financial requirements.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with clinical and operational partners.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work professionally with physicians, hospital leadership, patients, and nursing staff at all levels.
