Client Information- A northeast Indianapolis company that specializes in chemical and raw materials distribution. Duties and Responsibilities:

Job summary- The production supervisor play a key role in overseeing day to day operations including working directly with 8 to 9 associates in the manufacturing areas to ensure that daily tasks and goals are met; procedures and policies are followed.

Job Duties

Supervise all functions in the production area including packaging and blending operations.
Lead and motivate packaging team, assign tasks, conduct training for new employees and provide ongoing development opportunities for existing staff members.
Responsible for managing equipment setups, tear downs and changeovers.
Enforce safety regulations, compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s); ultimately maintain a secure work environment.
Track and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess production efficiency and implement improvements.
Create and manage production schedules, coordinate workflow, and plan for upcoming production runs.
Container inspection for quality, adherence to specifications.
Load, unload and process ingredients following Bill of Materials
Ensure adherence to company policies, GFSI guidelines and cGMP practices.
Assist in inventory cycle counts.

Skills and Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required
Three (3) plus years of warehouse experience (chemical environment a plus)
Must possess good mathematical skills; able to operate a forklift is a plus
Must be able to perform data entry functions necessary to close out work orders and manage inventory transaction(s).
Shift: M- F 8am to 5pm (1 hour lunch)
