The Promotions Lead, Programming & Legal Liaison is responsible for coordinating on-air promotions, contesting, and legal compliance across all Radio One stations in Indianapolis. This role works closely with Programming, Legal, Digital and Sales to ensure accurate scheduling, documentation, and production of all promotional content and agreements. It also serves as backup support for contest execution and prize fulfillment.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Draft and submit contest rules, club agreements, and promotional contracts for legal review and compliance.
- Schedule on-air promotional content including liners, contesting, and sponsored promotions.
- Write engaging and brand-aligned liners and promotional scripts.
- Work with Program Directors and APDs to gather content and ensure timely production delivery.
- Schedule remotes and appearances for Program Directors and APDs as part of station promotional strategy.
- Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to secure promotional prizes and ensure alignment with campaign objectives.
- Create and present promotional campaign proposals to the Director of Marketing.
- Provide promotional coordination support for assigned stations as needed.
- Maintain on-air giveaway calendars and ensure all scheduled elements are updated and tracked.
- Take meeting notes and distribute recaps for weekly promotions meetings.
- Communicate upcoming promotions and deadlines with internal teams.
- Represent the company professionally at community and charitable events.
- Assist with social media activation and content coverage in collaboration with the Digital team.
- Attend and contribute to meetings with community leaders and clients for upcoming campaigns and promotions.
- Review and provide feedback on Promotion Request Forms in collaboration with the Marketing Director.
- Provide backup support for prize fulfillment and contesting operations as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must have at least 3 years of driving experience
- Flexible schedule, with the ability and willingness to work varied hours on the weekdays, and weekends
- Excellent organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and effectively manage time
- Self-starter, with the ability to take and follow direction
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with the station’s clients and listeners
- Can work well independently and as an integral part of the team
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, and lift/move up to 50 lbs Â
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Canva, Adobe, and Excel spreadsheets
- Complies with Network and Urban One’s mandatory training and adheres to related course deadlines
- Strong leadership, communication, and time-management skills.
- Submit to a criminal background check
- Legal right to work in the United States

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
A High School Diploma or GED is required. College degree; preferred. Valid driver's license and state-mandated automobile insurance. At least 3 years experience in marketing, media, or entertainment industry. 2-3 years of administrative experience in a professional setting. Drafting and contract review required.Â
