Client Profile- An Indiana based radiology practice founded in 1967. For more than 50 years, the radiology firm has been providing quality care to patients; serving 4 area hospitals and 6 imaging facilities which are 100% Independent Physician-Owned.

Job Summary- We are seeking a dedicated Radiology Technician to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work weekend shifts, providing flexibility and a perfect fit for professionals who prefer working outside of traditional weekday hours. This role involves working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely results.

Job Duties

  • Prepare and position patients for imaging, selecting exposure factors with precision.
  • Perform X-rays and EKGs as assigned, adhering to company technical procedures.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and medications in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Observe patients during procedures, reporting any abnormalities and recommending updates to protocols as needed.
  • Follow radiation safety protocols to prevent unnecessary exposure to patients.
  • Ensure the timely submission of high-quality images and documentation to PACS, including proper lead markers and patient data/history.
  • Monitor equipment functionality, promptly reporting any malfunctions and locking/tagging out equipment when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and organized department, including procedure rooms.
  • Release images to state-licensed radiologists or cardiologists for interpretation.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services performed.
  • Uphold professionalism in actions, communication, and personal appearance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Current ARRT certification.
  • Valid Indiana X-ray state license.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
  • Experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
  • CPR certification is required.
  • Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Work Schedule: Fridays to Sundays, 8 or 12-hour shifts available. Flexibility in hours to meet client needs is essential.
  • Compensation: Starting pay ranges from $32.00 to $35.00 per hour, based on experience.
