Job Duties
ā¢ Clean up to Hotel standards in all areas of the Hotel
ā¢ Communicate to Supervisor, Housekeeping Manager or General Manager when recovering any and all lost and found items
ā¢ Effectively work with team members to accomplish assigned tasks each day
ā¢ Greet each guest that you encounter in the hallways, lobby or public areas with āGood Morningā or āGood Afternoonā or āGood Eveningā
ā¢ Follow procedures for entering and leaving guest rooms
ā¢ Turn in keys and communication devices to the Housekeeping Department when shift ends
ā¢ Follow all instructions when filling spray bottles with cleaning chemicals; never mix chemicals
ā¢ Work in a safe manner to prevent injury to yourself, other staff members or our valued guests
ā¢ Maintain organization and cleanliness of storage closets, guest laundry areas and corridors
ā¢ Watch for safety hazards and report them immediately to your Department Supervisor
ā¢ Observe all safety policies and procedures during the execution of assigned duties
ā¢ Arrive at scheduled start time in appropriate uniform and ready for work
ā¢ Maintain control of keys issued to perform assigned duties ā¢ Work efficiently and as part of the team
ā¢ Properly handle all equipment and cleaning chemicals (i.e. washer, dryer, detergents etc.)
ā¢ Maintain control of keys issued to perform assigned duties
ā¢ Maintain organization and cleanliness of maid closets, guest laundry areas and corridors. Support environmental commitments by having the knowledge, skills and values to be a leader in the global goal of āgreeningā the hospitality industry
Minimum Requirments
ā¢ High school graduate or equivalent
ā¢ 2 years similar experience in a similar environment.
ā¢ Organizational and time management skills.
ā¢ Must be able to give and receive information clearly.
ā¢ Detail oriented as it pertains to accuracy and efficiency.
ā¢ Ability to move, traverse, position self to reach corners on floors and high places; observe conditions, detect odors, position and navigate carts weighing up to 100# in tight spaces; operate equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads and dusters. Lift, carry and position loads of at least 25#. These abilities are required for an entire shift
