Trains employees on proper machine usage. Assigns employees to machines. Signs people off on machines that they have been trained on. Assists in rewarding, disciplining, and directing employees in the production area. Maintain inventory levels and some purchasing. Data entry Assists with research and development. Drives company directives towards continuous improvement. Demonstrates a clear understanding of production scheduling and inventory. Assists with the management of 80-100 production employees and temporary staffing in the Production Department. Responsible for assisting with the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include hiring, training and terminating employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; time off approval; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Supervise production and warehouse teams across all core functions, including receiving, put away, replenishment, picking, packing, assembly, and distribution center transfers. Execute daily operational plans with real time adjustments to labor and priorities, providing hands on leadership to ensure adherence to WMS directed tasks and SOPs. Serve as the WMS subject matter expert, ensuring correct system usage, troubleshooting issues, and partnering with IT, inventory control, and operations on escalations, upgrades, UAT, and configuration improvements. Monitor key KPIs, throughput, pick accuracy, productivity, labor utilization, and scan compliance, to drive performance and continuous improvement. Other duties as assigned QualificationsEducation and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with 10+ years as a team leader, related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.   Qualifications Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak individually or in a group setting. Able to communicate effectively to a diverse group of employees. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, commons fractions, and decimals. Able to demonstrate computer efficiency and create spreadsheets for tracking data. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Must be certified to drive a forklift and a cherry picker. Must have good communication skills. Must possess good hand-eye coordination.
