Responsibilities:
- General buildings upkeep by performing minor maintenance and janitorial duties as needed to provide safe and sanitary buildings for the Koorsen Indianapolis campus
- Sweep, mop, wax floors, and shampoo carpets; pick up litter and trash; clean restroomsÂ
- Maintain the appearance of the grounds by sweeping debris, shoveling snow, cutting grass, trimming trees and shrubsÂ
- Perform minor maintenance duties such as changing or cleaning lights; replacing vacuum cleaner belts; unstopping toilets and sinks, and changing ceiling or carpet tiles
- Gather shred bins documents to be ready for pickup
- Ensure 01 building doors are secured; check for unauthorized persons in the building and call security if needed
- Maintain care of assigned equipment and work areas
- Move and unloads supplies and equipment
- Any other assigned duties
- Interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a professional manner
- Open to continual learning
- Demonstrate an understanding of and follow all safety regulations and practices
- Follow all Koorsen policies, procedures, and core values
- Any other duties deemed appropriate by management
Required:
- Pass drug and background screenings
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to stand for long periods
- Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly
- Must be able to push and pull greater than 75 lbs. as needed
- Must be able to climb laddersÂ
- Must be able to perform some repetitive motionsÂ
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear
