Job Description:

Summary


The Senior Director of Product Management is a senior leader responsible for driving the strategy execution, performance, and evolution of an assigned service line adjacency with regulated, safety-critical environment and full profit and loss accountability. This role leads the development and execution of service roadmaps, performance plans, and capability enhancements that support enterprise growth profitability and operations scalability. Operating at the intersection of customer needs, service economics, regulatory requirements, and operations realties, the Senior Director translates market and customer insights into differentiated, scalable service offerings. While accountable for service-line performance outcomes, this role does not own day-to-day field operations or service execution, which remains the responsibility of operational leadership. Success is achieved through influence, data-driven decision making, and strong cross-functional partnership rather than direct operations authority.

This role is 100% remote with up to 50% Nationwide travel.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of service-line strategy and roadmaps aligned to enterprise priorities and market needs
  • Accountable for achieving revenue growth, margin, and cost targets within approved plans and budgets, in partnership with Finance
  • Translate customer, market, regulatory, and competitive insights into scalable service enhancements and new offerings
  • Partner with Finance on planning, forecasting, pricing analysis, and performance tracking
  • Establish and monitor KPIs tied to financial, operational, customer, and strategic outcomes
  • Evaluate new capabilities, technologies, and process improvements; develop business cases and recommendations for executive approval
  • Monitor service performance and identify opportunities to improve unit economics, quality, safety, and customer outcomes
  • Collaborate closely with Operations to ensure strategies and roadmaps align with field delivery models, safety standards, and compliance requirements
  • Partner with Technology, Data, Sales, and Account Management to ensure effective enablement, adoption, and market positioning
  • Support decisions related to launching, scaling, adapting, or retiring services by providing data, analysis, and operational readiness assessments
  • Ensure regulatory, safety, and compliance considerations are embedded into all service and product decisions
  • Build alignment and drive outcomes through credibility, insight, structured communication, and collaboration
  • Engage with key customers and industry stakeholders as appropriate to inform strategy and validate assumptions, with executive visibility as required

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in product management, service-line ownership or adjacent roles within utility locating, damage prevention, or field-based regulated services
  • Previous experience in either the telecommunications or construction industry
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Demonstrated accountability for financial performance, budget management, or business-case ownership
  • Deep domain expertise in utility locating or closely adjacent services, including field workflows, compliance, safety requirements, customer contracts, and service economics
  • Proven ability to lead complex initiatives and influence outcomes across Operations, Finance, Technology, Sales and Human Resources teams
  • Strong analytical skills, strategic judgment, financial acumen, and roadmap execution experience
  • Ability to travel as needed (about 50%)
