Position Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Stress and Lifing Engineer to join our team, contributing to the ongoing reliability and safety of our products. As an early career analyst, you will support the structural assessment of static components such as casings, bearing supports, frames, mounts, and inlet guide vanes. Working closely with experienced team members, you will apply analytical techniques to evaluate components under complex loading conditions including thermal, pressure, and mechanical stresses.

In this role, you will develop your expertise in stress and lifing analysis, gain hands-on experience through supported project work, and continue building your foundation in engineering fundamentals. This position offers an excellent environment for professional growth, technical development, and collaboration within a dynamic and knowledgeable global engineering team.

What you will be doing

  • Perform mechanical integrity, stress, and lifing analyses of static components using finite element analysis and other numerical modeling tools under guidance from senior team members.
  • Support the planning and execution of mechanical experiments to help validate design assumptions and analytical models.
  • Assist in problem-solving activities by investigating issues and contributing to root cause analysis and solution development.
  • Participate in peer reviews of analysis projects to maintain quality standards and broaden your technical understanding.
  • Prepare clear technical documentation and support the communication of analysis results to colleagues and cross-functional teams.
  • Take part in ongoing training and development opportunities, and contribute to process improvements and team initiatives as you grow your expertise.

Basic Requirements:

  • Associates degree in Engineering with 3+ years of experience, OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 1+ years of experience, OR  
  • Master's degree in Engineering, OR
  • PhD in Engineering
  • In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred Requirements:

  • 2 or more years of hands-on experience in conducting mechanical integrity, stress and lifing assessments using finite element analysis and other numerical models
  • Ability to apply logical, analytical and innovative thinking on a range of technical problems and make balanced decisions across technical and business parameters
  • Knowledge and experience of product integrity / liability and certification frameworks
  • Membership of a relevant professional body appropriate to region
  • Good communication and presentation skills at all levels of the organization
