Position Title: IE-Scholars Student Assistant

Reports To: Dr. Marleen McCormick Pritchard, Editor-in-Chief, IE-Scholars Community

 

Position Overview:

The IE-Scholars Student Assistant will primarily support the global International Entrepreneurship (IE-Scholars)community through research assistance and content development. This role centers on identifying, reading, and summarizing scholarly and practitioner work related to international entrepreneurship. Additional responsibilities will include supporting communications, website updates, and community engagement as time allows.

This position provides a valuable opportunity to engage with international scholars and practitioners while developing skills in research synthesis, global collaboration, and online content management.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Primary Focus: Research & Writing Support

  • Identify and summarize recent academic and practitioner articles related to international entrepreneurship.
  • Help compile an annual Year in Review of IE-related publications.
  • Draft concise article summaries or “featured insights” for newsletters and social media.
  • Support preparation of materials for newsletters, interviews, and podcasts.

 

Secondary Support Areas

Community Engagement & New User Support

  • Assist with onboarding new IE-Scholars members and maintaining the membership database.
  • Monitor inquiries received via email or the website contact form.

 

General Administrative Support

  • Assist with ongoing projects and special initiatives as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student in the Lacy School of Business.
  • Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Interest in academic research on international entrepreneurship
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently on assigned tasks.

 

Hours:

  • Approximately 5–8 hours per week (flexible).
  • Hybrid or remote work possible, with occasional in-person check-ins.
