Job DetailsJob Location: Irvington Community Elementary School (ICES) - Indianapolis, IN 46219Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: 4 Year DegreePurpose of Position/Summary: Provides rigorous differentiated instruction based on the Indiana state standards in licensed content areas.   Role Expectations (How we measure success): Gives timely academic feedback to students in the form of written/verbal comments and grades Uses formative, summative, and standardized assessments to inform instruction Maintains accurate and up-to-date grade and attendance records for students Builds a classroom culture that fosters belongingness and safety for students Communicates consistently with parents/guardians Collaborates with colleagues, administrators and support staff regarding student needs Adequately prepares for absences by leaving clear lesson plans and explanation of expectations for guest teachers Consistently applies classroom management and discipline policies in the classroom and throughout the building Essential Responsibilities: Provides data-informed lesson plans and instruction using Indiana state standards as the guide Builds effective relationships with teachers, students and staff Engages in school positive behavior incentive system (PBIS), discipline matrix, and restorative practices Is involved in school community through participation in clubs, sports, tutoring, and other activities Strives to work and live by The Irvington Way Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in education required Valid Indiana teaching license required Strong technology skills, competent in the use of Google applications Flexibility to adjust teaching methods and strategies to fit student needs Willingness to comply with ICS policies and procedures     Qualifications
