Launch your career in transportation engineering with our team as a Transportation Engineer, Early Career. In this role, you'll work alongside experienced engineers and project managers to design and produce plans for a variety of transportation projects for state DOTs and local municipalities. You'll gain hands-on experience across geometric design, drainage, pavement rehabilitation, and more, while developing the technical skills and problem-solving abilities that will define your career.

What You’ll Do

  • With the support of our technical experts and project managers, you’ll design and produce plans for a variety of transportation design projects for the state DOTs and local municipalities
  • Projects may include rural highways, urban corridors, roundabouts, interchanges, innovative large-scale transportation projects
  • Preparation of designs, calculations, reports, and cost estimates.
  • Developing engineering drawings utilizing technical specifications and next generation plans through digital delivery and 3D modeling technologies

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program required
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Engineer Intern registration or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required; MicroStation, OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD experience with design programs a plus
  • Strong interest in transportation engineering and motivated to improve the safety and efficiency of transportation systems
  • Adaptable and self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset as well as a proactive approach to problem solving
