JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective
We are looking for a responsible Traffic Lead to ship, receive, inspect, and record shipments with raw material or finish goods products. You will be responsible for loading and unloading packages while ensuring they match the shipping, purchase, or transfer orders.
A Traffic Lead must be detailed oriented and have basic math skills. They must also have adequate physical strength to load / unload shipments as well as the clerical skills to update records and follow up with vendors.

The goal is to ensure we ship and receive the correct packages and account for the billing and inventory appropriately.

Essential Functions
Â
Primary activities include but not limited to:
- Review shipping schedule and help develop gameplan to complete all loads on time
- Ensure proper rotation of finished goods and that loads are loaded using FIFO
- Provide direction to pickers and load trucks efficiently and safely
- Verify accuracy of load and all paperwork is completed for driver and CraftMark records
- Ensure dock and loading safety procedures are followed
- Receive shipments and sign paperwork upon receipt
- Unload packages from incoming trucks
- Inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged
- Verify packages according to order and invoices (quantity, quality, price etc.)
- Contact supplier or shipper if a mistake is identified
- Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements
- Ensure invoices are signed and paid for satisfactory deliveries
- Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory control
- End of shift reports

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proven experience as shipping / receiving clerk or similar position
- Experience in operating forklifts
- Working knowledge of computer programs for entering data
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations
- Basic math and recording abilities
- Excellent organizational skills
- Great communication and interpersonal abilities
- Keen eye for detail
- Good physical condition
- High school diploma

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Â
This is a full-time position, working Monday through Thursday from 5pm to 5am and Frday Noon to 5pm. Â Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
