We’re looking for well-rounded, motivated students to join us for a 10-week paid internship where you’ll gain hands-on experience, build your professional network, and develop valuable skills in a dynamic business environment.

What You’ll Experience

As an Information Security Governance intern at FHLBank, you’ll:

  • Support security control inventory management, validation, and testing to ensure compliance and effectiveness.

  • Assist in executing phishing simulation campaigns and tracking results to improve organizational resilience.

  • Participate in access certification processes to maintain secure user access across systems.

  • Contribute to security awareness training initiatives to promote best practices and reduce risk.

  • Apply strong problem-solving and communication skills to collaborate across teams and present analytical results effectively

  • Contribute to meaningful projects that align with your field of study

  • Gain exposure to the finance and banking industry

  • Participate in team-building activities, a group project, a community service event, and professional development sessions (including dining etiquette!)

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking students who:

  • Have completed at least their sophomore year of undergraduate studies. Graduate students encouraged to apply!

  • Are majoring in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Security, Risk and Compliance

  • Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally

  • Work well independently and in team settings

  • Are detail-oriented, organized, and eager to solve problems
