The IT Desktop Support role provides help and expertise across software platforms and computing equipment within the Gaylor technology environment.Â
POSITION REQUIREMENTSÂ
- Possesses an outgoing, amiable personality, and desire to help othersÂ
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Â
- Knowledgeable in the Windows desktop environmentÂ
- Maintains confidentiality of all Company informationÂ
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask Â
- Participates in an on-call rotation and responds to critical IT incidents and emergency support requests during non-business hours as required.Â
RESPONSIBILITIES                                                                                                                                                                          Â
- Maintains appropriate records, files, and documentationÂ
- Responds to support requests and takes necessary steps to resolve problemsÂ
- Documents support issues and solutionsÂ
- Remote problem-solving through use of remote connection toolsÂ
- Diagnoses Windows and PC hardware and Software issuesÂ
- Laptop, tablet, cell phone configurations and deploymentsÂ
- Basic troubleshooting of LAN and connectivity issuesÂ
- Performs data migrations and assists in data restorations on local devicesÂ
 EDUCATIONÂ
- CompTIA A+ preferred; may be obtained within first year of employmentÂ
EXPERIENCEÂ
- Previous desktop support or IT helpdesk experience preferredÂ
