College Intern - Supply Chain Analyst

Asphalt Materials, Inc. is currently seeking an intern to spend this summer helping our Purchasing Department as a Supply Chain Analyst Intern.

Essential Functions

• Assisting in creating and developing proposals, bids, and purchase requests

• Understand and create tracking and communication processes for trucking, rail, and purchasing

• Assist in developing and implementing strategies for purchasing chemicals, raw materials, and trucking

• Will have exposure to multiple lines of business

• Helping the team complete compliance projects using excel

• Other duties as assigned

Education Qualifications

• Working toward a bachelor's degree or recent graduate in: Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Economics, General Business, or Related Fields

Skills and Abilities

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite of products especially Excel and PowerPoint (should be familiar with pivot tables and v lookups, etc.)

• Willingness to learn and be an excellent team player

• Attention to detail
