Job Description:

The North America Segment Analyst is responsible for obtaining, organizing, analyzing, and presenting OEM build data. This individual will be critical in supporting the Customer Value Creation process by supporting the development of market knowledge, value proposition design, segment strategy and critical assumptions analysis. The focus of this person is primarily through the CVCP to provide the organization data driven analysis regarding OEM share, segmentation, competitive threats, and market trends. The Regional Analyst will work closely with the sales organization, OEM’s, and trade associations to ensure strategic marketing and sales initiatives are completed successfully.

Key Responsibilities

  • Obtain market data and perform quantitative analysis to develop market segmentations.
  • Identify and assess market requirements/trends.
  • Support competitive analysis activities to understand Allison value proposition vs. competitors.
  • Support the NA MDF and Volume Refresh.
  • Create and update NA CVCP Q1 market assessments.
  • Support the development of Marketing slides for the NA Portfolio Review.
  • Provide Marketing support for growth initiative and sales team.
  • Provide regional market data, segmentation, and analysis, to support regional volume forecast (MDF, 18-month) and global consolidation of market knowledge>
  • Analyze OEM build data and other data sources to aid in target development and alignment with Sales team including Regional Sales, OEM and National Accounts as appropriate.
  • Support development of comprehensive marketing plan.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Timely completion of re-occurring monthly deliverables.
  • Ability to coordinate and move a project to completion through various departments within the organization.
  • High degree of initiative and ability to work independently.
  • Data analysis with ability to summarize, draw conclusions, and submit proposals and recommendations based on findings.
  • Highly organized to ensure ad-hoc questions can be answered with minimal effort.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing, Business, or Communications
  • Exceptional Excel skills
  • Exceptional MS skills
  • Highly organized

Experience

  • 1 year of experience required or equivalent education or experience will be considered
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks at the same time
  • High degree of initiative and ability to work independently
  • Data analysis with ability to summarize, draw conclusions, and submit proposals and recommendations based on findings

This is an in-person office position located at Allison Global Headquarters in Indianapolis, IN.
