About the Role:
The Assistant Operations Manager plays a critical role in supporting the overall efficiency and productivity of manufacturing operations within the organization. This position is responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination, and supervision of daily manufacturing activities to ensure that production goals, quality standards, and safety regulations are consistently met. Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing operations or production management.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety standards.
- Proficiency in using manufacturing software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or a related field.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Certification in Operations Management or Project Management (e.g., PMP).
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards relevant to manufacturing (OSHA, ISO).
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing daily manufacturing operations to meet production schedules and quality standards.
- Coordinate with department supervisors to monitor workflow, resource allocation, and equipment utilization.
- Support the implementation of safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Analyze operational data to identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
- Collaborate with supply chain and maintenance teams to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment uptime.
- Participate in staff training and development to enhance team performance and operational knowledge.
- Prepare reports on production metrics, operational challenges, and improvement initiatives for senior management.
- Assist in budgeting, cost control, and inventory management to optimize operational expenses.
