1st Shift: Monday-Friday 7a-3p

Position Overview:

This Quality Inspector role completes the inspection activities for our automated production lines. You will report to the Quality Assurance Supervisor. You will ensure the product quality and compliance to procedures and regulations so that our customers are delivered a quality product. If you like to manager project, products and timelines, this position is for you. You will keep accurate records of work and can train others. In our business, it is important you can demonstrate a understanding of the importance of documentation.


Basic Background Requirements:

  • Must have 1+ years' relevant work experience in a dimensional inspector position
  • Must have a background in precision measurement using calipers, height gauges and micrometers; CMM programming experience would be beneficial but not required
  • Experience with incoming, in-process and final inspection activities
  • Must understand how to read blue prints and work instructions
  • Exhibit a great response to having good documentation skills by writing clear procedures
  • Maintain a general knowledge of regulatory requirements such as ISO 9001
  • Work overtime from time to time

Key Performance Objectives

Short Term: (0 to 3 months)

  • Learn KEIND Quality System requirements.
  • Learn and promote Good Documentation Practices.
  • Build relationships with Quality and Operations team members.
  • Learn automated production lines.
  • Learn defect libraries for assigned products.

Midterm: (3 to 6 months)

  • Learn multiple inspection techniques.
  • Ensure procedures are being observed.
  • Become a champion for promoting Quality throughout production.
  • Develop relationships with important colleagues.
  • Accountable for the inspection of assigned products and production lines.

Long term: (6 to 12 months)

  • Become a promoter and contributor to continued improvements within the Quality Organization.
