Student Imaging Technologist

At Franciscan, our Imaging Students assists the Imaging Technologist by performing non-licensure tasks such as clerical and patient care duties.
 

• Schedule: Tuesday & Thursday, 4:30pm - 8:30pm 

• Assist Radiologic Technologists, as requested, throughout the procedure. 

• Clean and maintain examination table, equipment and work area. 

• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety, ensure safety, and comfort. 

• Obtain and record patient information. 

• Position patient on examining table, set up and adjust equipment to obtain an optimum view of specific body area as requested by the physician. 

• Position x-ray equipment and adjust controls to set exposure factors, such as time and distance.
