About the Role
A ForMotion Lab Technician-I supports the fabrication, maintenance, and repair of prosthetic and orthotic devices according to prescription and under the guidance of certified clinicians. Ensures work meets quality standards and maintains a clean, safe work environment.
What You’ll Do
Key Responsibilities
Fabricates basic orthotic/prosthetic devices as instructed.
Performs routine maintenance and minor repairs on devices and tools.
Tests devices for movement, alignment, and basic stability.
Completes assigned work orders accurately and on time.
Maintains organized, clean lab workspace.
Adheres to all safety and quality procedures.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Works in a professional office and laboratory setting. Regular use of standard office equipment and O&P lab tools (e.g., grinders, ovens, routers, hand/power tools). Physical demands include lifting up to 50+ lbs, dexterous hand use, standing, bending, and visual acuity (close, distance, color, depth perception).
High School diploma or equivalent.
0–2 years of industrial or hands-on technical experience (machine shop, auto repair,
etc.).
Comfortable with tools and physical labor.
Must be available during clinic operating hours and able to uphold policies with
professionalism and fairness.
