Job DetailsJob Location: Indio, CA 92201Salary Range: $22.00 - $26.00 HourlyBehavioral Health Supervisor – Job Description Position Summary The Behavioral Health Supervisor provides direct supervision and support to behavioral health staff while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, client-centered care. This role focuses on staff development, clinical oversight, and day-to-day operations to ensure services are effective, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals. Key Responsibilities Staff Supervision & Support Supervise and support behavioral health staff, including therapists, counselors, and case managers Conduct regular individual and group supervision sessions Provide coaching, performance feedback, and annual evaluations Assist with onboarding and training of new employees Promote a positive, collaborative, and accountable team environment Clinical Oversight Review client assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes for quality and compliance Provide guidance on complex cases and clinical decision-making Ensure use of evidence-based practices in service delivery Support staff in crisis intervention and risk assessment Program Operations Oversee daily workflow and staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage Monitor caseloads and productivity standards Support implementation of program policies and procedures Assist in program development and service improvements Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensure adherence to all regulatory, ethical, and organizational standards Participate in audits, chart reviews, and quality improvement activities Address and resolve compliance issues promptly Collaboration & Communication Act as a liaison between staff and leadership Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical providers and community partners Communicate program updates, expectations, and organizational changes to staff Administrative Responsibilities Assist with reporting, documentation, and data tracking Support hiring processes, including interviewing and candidate selection Contribute to budget awareness and resource management QualificationsQualifications Education & Licensure Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field Active licensure (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or equivalent), as required by state regulations Experience 2–4+ years of clinical experience in behavioral health Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred Skills & Competencies Strong leadership and interpersonal skills Solid understanding of clinical practices and behavioral health systems Excellent organizational and time management abilities Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills Ability to support and develop staff performance Work Environment Outpatient clinic, community-based program, hospital, or similar setting May include occasional evenings or on-call responsibilities Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting, documentation, and computer use Ability to respond to urgent or crisis situations as needed #CALI1 #cali1
