About the Role:
Desert Elite Electric & Construction, Inc is looking for a skilled Plumbing Estimator to join our growing team in Indio, CA! In this role, you'll play a critical part in driving project success by delivering accurate, competitive bids that help us win work and build lasting client relationships. If you have a sharp eye for detail and a passion for the construction industry, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed plumbing cost estimates for residential, commercial, and/or industrial construction projects
- Review and analyze blueprints, specifications, and project plans to develop accurate material and labor takeoffs
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitive pricing
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field crews to align estimates with project scope
- Track and manage bid deadlines, submittals, and proposal documentation
- Identify potential project risks and incorporate contingencies into estimates
- Maintain and update cost databases, pricing records, and historical project data
- Â Attend job walks when necessaryÂ
- Â Work with project management and field teams during project handoffÂ
Requirements:
- Proven experience in plumbing estimating or a related construction estimating role
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems, materials, and installation methods
- Proficiency in estimating software and/or takeoff tools (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Excellent mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and vendors
- Knowledge of California building codes and plumbing regulations is a plus
