General Manager Crushing & Screening lead a team of employees with responsibility to maximize company rental services results in Southern and Central California. Serve as a senior leader for the company and provide strategic direction for the company. Establish and maintain high-level relationships with key customers. Drive continuous company improvement and operational excellence.

Wages

Starting wage for the General Manager - Crushing & Screening will depend on experience and education. $138,000 - $175,000

Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities for the Rental Services General Manager include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

• Establishes policies and procedures for Rental Services operations.• Create / Maintain a Culture of Safety. Be visibly committed to Safety Excellence.• Develops annual goals and objectives.• Plans and implements budgets and action plans.• Engages in strategic planning; seeks out new business opportunities.• Meets corporate targets for direct expenses.• Determines facility locations and appropriate configurations.• Ensures facilities comply with all regulatory and safety requirements.• Establishes and maintains inventory to meet Rental Services goals.• Assists in marketing of dealer services.• Establishes competitive and profitable rental rates.• Manages subordinate Operations Managers and support staff.• Coordinates work flow between branches and departments.• Hires, trains and develops a cohesive team.• Monitors customer satisfaction.• Resolves customer problems in a timely manner.• Maintains relationships with other Business Unit managers.• Maintains relationship with the Caterpillar Los Angeles District Office.• Reviews operational reports, assesses needs and directs changes as necessary improvement of operations.• Makes quarterly visits to Branch Stores.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university. Ten years industry experience and a minimum of five years in a management position overseeing a workforce of 200 or more in an industry preferable related to vehicle rental, retail or service. • Experience must show an aggressive track record of successful leadership;• Ability to demonstrate strong strategic thinking skills through problem resolution and collaborative experiences
