The Graphic Designer supports the Creative team in bringing marketing and brand strategies to life across digital, print, marketplace, and internal channels. Working closely with and reporting to the Senior Graphic Designer, this role executes on creative direction for product launches, promotions, and brand activations, translating concepts into polished, production-ready assets. The ideal candidate combines strong design fundamentals with technical precision, a passion for beauty and nails, and the organizational discipline to manage multiple projects, files, and deadlines simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
Graphic Design
- Support the Senior Graphic Designer in bringing the creative vision to life across, but not limited to, campaigns, product launches, and brand initiatives.
- Design graphics for email marketing campaigns, website assets, marketplace listings (e.g., Amazon, retailer platforms), social media, and other internal or external marketing and creative collateral.
- Maintain coherence with and adherence to brand guidelines, producing designs that are both creative and consistently on-brand.
- Apply strong design fundamentals — hierarchy, proportion, rhythm, and composition — to ensure every asset communicates clearly and effectively.
- Translate creative direction, briefs, and verbal feedback into technically accurate, polished designs with minimal revision cycles.
- Prepare designs optimized for their intended medium, accounting for resolution, aspect ratio, and legibility across devices and platforms.
Production & Rollout
- Build and prepare final, production-ready files for print or digital use, ensuring accuracy in specs like, but not limited to, dimensions, color profiles, bleed, and file formats per platform specifications.
- Coordinate with the Senior Graphic Designer and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure assets are delivered on time and aligned with campaign or launch timelines.
- Execute rollout of design assets across multiple channels (email, website, marketplace, social, internal comms), ensuring consistency in messaging and visual presentation at every touchpoint.
- Proofread and quality-check all outgoing assets for typos, technical errors, brand inconsistencies, and formatting issues prior to final delivery.
- Package and hand off final files to the appropriate teams or platforms with clear specifications, naming conventions, and delivery notes.
- Support photo shoots or content production as needed, including retouching or asset compositing for final use.
- Adapt designs quickly in response to last-minute changes, testing feedback, or platform requirement updates without compromising quality or brand standards.
Creative Execution & Innovation
- Incorporate new technologies and tools (e.g., AI-assisted design, automation, templating systems) into the creative workflow to optimize repetitive work and increase production efficiency.
- Proactively identify opportunities to streamline recurring design tasks (e.g., templated marketplace graphics, resizing, batch exports) through smarter tooling or process improvements.
- Stay current on design trends, tools, and beauty/nail industry visual language to bring fresh, relevant ideas to the creative process.
- Contribute ideas during creative brainstorms and collaborate constructively with the Senior Graphic Designer and broader Creative team.
Organization & Asset Management
- Maintain and organize design assets, dielines, and production templates, ensuring all files are current, clearly labeled, and accessible to the team.
- Manage a consistent visual and structural system across all product lines to ensure brand cohesion and recognition.
- Document updates, communicate changes to cross-functional teams, and contribute to refining packaging and design workflows for greater efficiency and clarity.
- Independently manage assigned tasks in Asana (or equivalent project management tool), updating timelines and statuses, and maintaining a clear record of feedback and revisions.
- Ensure all assets are completed on time and meet project deadlines without requiring follow-up.
- Keep files cleanly organized both within the team's asset storage systems and within the file itself — including clear swatch application, clean and labeled layers, and logical file structure — so any team member can pick up the file and understand it.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design.
- 3+ years of experience in graphic design, ideally within beauty, lifestyle, or consumer goods
industries. - Strong understanding of brand guidelines, hierarchy, proportion, rhythm, and overall design
principles. - Expertise in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Canva, and Figma, with demonstrated experience
preparing detailed, production-ready files. - Solid knowledge of digital medium requirements — ideal resolution, aspect ratios, and a sense of
proportion for legibility across digital devices. - Keen eye for detail, proportion, and visual communication; understands that design is a vehicle for
communication and that effectiveness matters as much as aesthetics. - Ability to interpret creative direction and translate it into clear, technically accurate designs.
- Passionate about nails and beauty, with a natural understanding of user needs, preferences, and the
product experience. - Organized and methodical approach to asset management, version control, and documentation.
- Ability to independently manage and follow through on assigned projects or tasks, taking ownership
and responsibility for timely outcomes. - Ability to adapt and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Enjoys a creative challenge and takes initiative in problem-solving.
- Enthusiastic about incorporating new technologies into the creative process to optimize productivity
and automate work where possible. - Primarily works in an office/studio environment; prolonged periods sitting at a computer workstation.
- Occasional on-site support for photo shoots, requiring standing, light lifting, or equipment handling.
