Module Piping Superintendent – LNG, Offshore & Industrial Modules | Tarpon Specialty Services | Ingleside, TX

Lead piping execution on large-scale modular projects at our Texas Gulf Coast fabrication yard. If you can run crews, hit schedules, and ship complete modules — we want to talk.

Position Overview

Tarpon Specialty Services is hiring a Module Piping Superintendent to drive piping execution across large-scale modular fabrication projects supporting LNG, offshore, and industrial clients. This is a high-accountability, high-output role responsible for leading General Foremen, Foremen, and a craft workforce of 50 to 200+ personnel across simultaneous active modules.

You will own the full piping scope — from work pack planning and fit-up through hydrotesting and system turnover — and be directly responsible for getting modules out the door safely, on schedule, and complete. This is not a desk role. You will be on the floor, running production, and holding your crews to a high standard every day. Job location is Ingleside, TX near Corpus Christi.

Key Responsibilities

Crew Leadership & Production

  • Lead General Foremen, Foremen, and 50–200+ craft personnel across active module scopes

  • Drive daily piping execution on multiple modules simultaneously, maintaining schedule and productivity targets

  • Own the piping scope schedule and hold crews accountable to production targets

  • Coordinate daily with steel, electrical, and module assembly teams to maintain overall module flow

Planning & Field Execution

  • Plan and sequence work from isometrics, work packs, and module priorities

  • Execute and enforce a sound field break strategy — maximize shop completion, minimize field welds

  • Execute hydrotesting and actively support system turnover and completion milestones

  • Ensure every module ships fully complete and ready for loadout on time

Safety

  • Enforce a zero-incident safety culture — no exceptions

  • Lead daily toolbox talks and maintain full compliance with site safety procedures

  • Hold all supervisors accountable to safety standards

Quality

  • Maintain first-time quality on fit-up and weld execution

  • Ensure NDE readiness and spec compliance at all stages

  • Drive low weld reject rates and minimal rework across all scopes

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of piping experience in fabrication and/or modular construction

  • 5+ years in a supervisory role — Foreman, General Foreman, or Superintendent level

  • Proven ability to manage large craft workforces and consistently hit production targets

  • Strong command of isometric drawings and how to translate them to field execution

  • Deep knowledge of welding processes and QA/QC requirements in industrial piping

  • Solid understanding of industrial piping systems — materials, specs, testing, and turnover

  • Experience in LNG, offshore, or modular construction environments preferred

What Sets You Apart

  • You solve problems fast in the field without waiting for direction

  • You understand that shipping constraints drive everything and plan accordingly

  • You know how to balance manpower, material, and schedule across multiple fronts

  • You hold your crews to a high standard and have the track record to prove it
