DESCRIPTION: Under the general direction of the Director of Public Relations and Communications, plans, develops, implements and evaluates organization-wide communications and marketing, as well as supports public engagement initiatives. Coordinates communications projects and workflows; develops, manages and translates multilingual content across print, digital, and social media platforms and maintains communication tracking and resource systems. This position performs advanced professional communications work exercising independent judgment, project leadership, analysis of communications effectiveness, coordination of complex organization-wide initiatives, and consultation with leadership service line directors regarding strategic messaging, branding and community engagement; manages multiple projects and deadlines, ensuring timely and accurate communication deliverables.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Consistently uphold Salud’s communication expectations with internal and external partners, communicating with professionalism, empathy, and responsiveness in all interactions.
- Develop, draft, edit, and distribute multilingual communications content for print, digital, social media, video, and outreach platforms, including newsletters, brochures, annual reports, digital signage, and other organizational materials.
- Develop or support organizational social media strategy and engagement efforts by creating content calendars, scheduling and publishing content, monitoring engagement metrics, and assisting with analysis of social media performance.
- Coordinate and manage communications, marketing, and outreach projects to ensure timely completion of assignments, deliverables, and organizational initiatives.
- Analyze effectiveness of communications campaigns and develop communications recommendations.
- Provide project coordination and operational support for communications initiatives, including maintaining tracking systems, monitoring project timelines, organizing shared resources, and ensuring accurate archiving of communications materials and documents.
- Assist with Spanish-language translation and interpretation of communications, outreach, marketing, and organizational materials intended for Spanish-speaking communities.
- Support executive communications initiatives, including assisting with CEO messaging, confidential communications support, collective bargaining messaging strategy, and translation of executive communications materials as assigned.
- Coordinate production, printing, distribution, and delivery of communications and outreach materials; prepare purchase orders and coordinate with vendors, printers, and internal departments to ensure timely project completion.
- Develop and maintain communications resources, guides, and training materials; provide training and technical assistance to staff regarding communications tools, file management practices, branding standards, and related systems.
- Collaborate with internal departments, external partners, vendors, and community stakeholders to support organizational communications, outreach, and engagement objectives.
- Monitor and ensure consistency with organizational branding, messaging, communication standards, and culturally responsive communication practices.
- Analyze communication risks.
- Maintain effective communication with internal and external partners through professional, responsive, and customer service-oriented interactions.
- Apply equity-centered and culturally responsive communication practices in the development and dissemination of organizational materials and messaging.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field (may substitute the education requirement with at least 2 years of direct experience).
- One year of experience creating digital content, using social media platforms (e.g., Facebook and Instagram), and developing visual assets on Canva or similar application(s).
- Working knowledge of Spanish and intermediate proficiency and experience supporting Spanishlanguage translation.
- Experience analyzing communications effectiveness preferred.
- Passion for community health, equity, or nonprofit work preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment with extensive people contact.
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; standing; sitting for prolonged periods of time; occasionally stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and twisting; lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling light to moderate amounts of weight; operating office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; verbally communicating to exchange information.
Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
SALARY & BENEFITS:
Salary Range: $77,552.55 - $94,265.61 per year
Employment Type: Full Time (40 hours per week)
Benefits: available to all regular Salud employees working 24+ hours per week. Part-time employees may receive some benefits on a pro-rated basis.
