Summary
CHS, Inc. has an exciting opportunity within our Agricultural Division, located in Inver Grove Heights, MN. We are looking for a Trade Execution Coordinator to join our Container Team. This role involves managing commodity shipments across various loading points and destination countries.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, responsible, and financially savvy, with excellent communication skills and a strong ability to work collaboratively. We seek a candidate who is flexible, enthusiastic, and capable of creative problem-solving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
This role is hybrid working 3 days/ week in the global corporate office in Inver Grove Heights, MN.
Responsibilities
- Manage execution of export Container shipments via BSM System.
- Issue/review orders to suppliers, recognize logistical needs of customers and internal personnel and understand the coordination needed to ensure documentation flow to meet the requirements of container steamship lines.
- Build rapport with other CHS offices to foster positive relationships for successful contract execution. Collaborate with merchandisers, logistics, and accounting staff to ensure proper contract setup and execution.
- Establish relationships with customers to ensure accurate and timely shipment execution. Assist customers via phone and email with status updates.
- Collaborate with merchandisers, logistics and accounting teams, to ensure contracts are set up properly, thereby assuring accuracy and consistency in contract execution.
- Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
- Verify customer contracts throughout the global market with emphasis in a specific region of the world and issue and maintain accurate documentation.
- Invoice, collect, and apply payments for all container shipments accurately and timely. Produce timely and accurate customer invoices to ensure the prompt payment.
- Maintain an accurate p/l, terms of trade and market position.
- Understand contract creation processes and compliance tools/regulations. Comply with government regulations and advise customers of these rules as needed.
- Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- High School diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain and Procurement and/or Transportation and Logistics
Additional Qualifications
- General knowledge of a diverse list of agricultural commodities, products, and their governing contracts
- Understanding of the contract creation process and governing trading roles
- Understanding and use of compliance tools and regulations
- Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Systems Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field

Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
