Job Description

Position Title: Lead Direct Support Professional (LDSP)
Program: Residential Services
Pay Range: $19.00–$21.00 per hour

Position Summary

The Lead Direct Support Professional (LDSP) provides a combination of direct care and team supervision within a residential setting. This role ensures services are person-centered, well-coordinated, and delivered with excellence. The LDSP supports daily operations, assists with staff training and communication, prepares schedules, performs quality checks, and ensures agency standards are consistently met. Most importantly, this position promotes the highest level of comprehensive care and quality of life for the individuals served.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to individuals in areas including personal care, daily living skills, health and wellness, and community integration

  • Lead by example in delivering person-centered services

  • Support scheduling and ensure appropriate staffing coverage

  • Assist with onboarding and training of new staff

  • Provide ongoing guidance, feedback, and coaching to team members

  • Monitor documentation for accuracy and completeness

  • Conduct quality checks and ensure compliance with service plans and agency policies

  • Communicate regularly with supervisors regarding program needs, concerns, and service delivery

  • Assist with appointments, medication administration (as trained), and transportation as needed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Experience in human services preferred

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required

  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions

  • Strong communication and leadership skills

  • Comfortable using agency documentation systems and technology

Work Schedule

This full-time position may include evening and weekend availability based on program needs.
