Aside from industry leading wellness care, we have experienced all types of conditions and treatments throughout our many years. Additional equipment/services we regularly utilize are full in-house laboratory, ultrasound, digital radiology, surgical laser, therapy laser, acupuncture, and more.
Position Purpose
Animal Clinic Inc. – Iowa City, Iowa Location: 408 Highland Avenue, Iowa City, IA 52240 Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 annually Sign on bonus and relocation assistance available! - 4 Day schedule Monday–Friday (Day off TBD): 7:30 AM – 5:00 PMÂ
- Rotating Saturdays: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Active DVM license in good standing (or ability to obtain)
- 2+ years of clinical experience preferred - Open to new grads for the right candidate
- Strong medical and diagnostic skills; surgical experience a plus
- Excellent communication skills with a passion for client education

Essential Responsibilities
- Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
- Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
- Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
- Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
- Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
- Maintain patients’ medical records.
- Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.
Requirements/Qualifications
- DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
- Appropriate state licensure.
- Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
- Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
