The University of Iowa Health Care Department of Nursing is seeking a Staff Nurse to perform specific tasks to assist members of the Nursing team in providing patient care under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager. This RN will work closely with the pediatric neurology providers to assess patients' nursing care needs, evaluate effectiveness of care provided, and integrate nursing theory and research into clinical practice.聽 Provide leadership to members of the nursing team in order to maintain patient care standards.

Salary: $60,000 minimum at 100%25 effort to commensurate.聽 Salary will vary based on years of experience and percent of effort.

Education Required
- An Associate鈥檚 Degree in Nursing, a Diploma in Nursing, a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, Professional Masters of Nursing and Healthcare Practice (MNHP), MSN/Clinical Nurse Leader or a Master鈥檚 Degree in Nursing (MSN, MA) is required
Experience Required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with patients/families, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members as demonstrated through written and verbal interactions
- General computer skills are required
- Ability to communicate complicated information to children and their parents

- 1聽year of RN experience required
- 1 year of pediatric nursing experience required
- Current license to practice nursing in Iowa is required by date of hire
