No culinary expertise is required. We are looking for people who enjoy helping others, take pride in maintaining a welcoming home environment, and value building positive relationships.
- Monday through Friday schedule
- 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- No evenings, weekends, or major holidays

As a VNA Homemaker, you will:
- Build meaningful and supportive relationships with clients during each visit
- Provide companionship and social interaction that enhances quality of life
- Create a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment through light housekeeping
- Dust, vacuum, sweep, and mop living spacesÂ
- Assist with laundry and dishes
- Maintain clean and sanitary bathrooms and kitchen areasÂ
- Prepare simple, nutritious meals and assist with basic food preparation
- Complete grocery shopping and other approved errands as neededÂ
- Observe and report changes in a client's condition or living environmentÂ
- Maintain professionalism, reliability, and respect in every interactionÂ
- Support clients in maintaining their independence and dignity at home

Requirements
- High-school diploma or equivalent,
- Previous experience as a environmental services worker or one year healthcare experience preferred.
- Reliable transportation, adequate liability insurance and current driver’s license are required.
- Ability to travel throughout the service area
- Ability to lift, bend, stand, and perform housekeeping duties safely.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the English language, both orally and in writing.Â
- Able to follow directions of a care plan and perform environmental services outlined in care plan.
- Able to manage a schedule of several client appointments each day.
- All offers of employment are conditioned upon the result of a criminal background check conducted by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, as required by law and a negative finding on the Office of Inspector General’s Excluded Provider List.
