About the Role:
The CNC Milling Operator plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by operating computer numerical control (CNC) milling machines to produce precision parts and components. This position requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure that all machined parts meet exact specifications and quality standards. The operator will interpret technical drawings and blueprints to set up and adjust machines accordingly, ensuring efficient and accurate production runs. Collaboration with engineering and quality assurance teams is essential to troubleshoot issues and optimize machining processes. Ultimately, the CNC Milling Operator contributes to the overall success of the production line by maintaining high productivity while adhering to safety and quality protocols.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating CNC milling machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and machining instructions.
- Basic knowledge of machining tools, materials, and measurement instruments.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of a formal CNC machining or manufacturing technology program.
- Experience with CNC programming and machine setup.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software.
- Knowledge of quality control standards such as ISO or Six Sigma.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on CNC equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines according to job specifications and blueprints.
- Load raw materials and secure them properly on the machine bed to ensure precision during machining.
- Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Inspect finished parts using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify conformance to specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Document production data, machine settings, and any deviations or issues encountered during operation.
- Collaborate with engineers and quality control personnel to resolve machining problems and improve processes.
- Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
