Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a Bio Lab in Ipswich MA

Thursdays 11 PM - 7 AM (With option for more shifts)

Starting Pay is $21.85 Per Hour / Paid Orientation / Paid Training

As a Security Officer in IPSWICH, MA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.85 / Hour

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors at a healthcare research and laboratory location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of laboratory buildings, offices, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and restricted areas in accordance with site procedures, documenting observations and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
• Prepare clear, accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
