Responsibilities 

  • Draining the oil from a vehicle and replacing it to manufacturer specifications
  • Topping off other fluids, including brake, power steering and windshield wiper fluid
  • Inspecting the engine block and underbody for leaks and potential issues
  • Checking tire pressure and filling tires with air as needed to manufacture specifications
  • Installing new car parts, such as air filters, oil filters, windshield wipers and batteries
  • Lubricating moving parts as necessary, including those in the engine and wheel bearings and ensuring the engine is kept clean throughout servicing
  • Diagnosing existing issues and consulting with lead mechanics on the team to address the vehicles’ issues

Qualifications:

  • Lube Technician experience with servicing vehicles
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Pre-employment drug test and background check 
  • Time management and organizational skills as well as hand and eye coordination
  • Effective communication and customer service skills 
  • The ability to read and follow complex directions in manuals as well as relay information in reports
  • The physical ability to perform all tasks related to the position of Lube Technician, such as bending reaching, standing for long periods of time and lifting over 60 pounds
