We are currently seeking a Material Handling Coordinator to join our team of skilled professionals based at our Bismarck, Missouri plant.  This plant produces granules from raw material for our vertically integrated shingle manufacturing operation.Â

Job SummaryÂ
The Material Handling Coordinator is responsible for accurately receiving, organizing, and managing all parts and materials across the facility, ensuring inventory is properly stocked, tracked, and prepared to support maintenance and production needs.  This position will report to the Maintenance Manager.Â
Job ResponsibilitiesÂ
Receive, inspect, and sort incoming parts and materials; operate a forklift to unload and move items as requiredÂ
Stock items in an orderly, accessible manner in the Parts Room and Satellite Storage areas; establish and maintain proper labeling and location accuracyÂ
Process incoming requisitions and issue or distribute parts and supplies to internal usersÂ
Prepare and stage parts for upcoming PM work ordersÂ
Review computer maintenance management system (CMMS) work ordersÂ
Maintain accurate records of orders, quantities, part types, cycle counts and storage locations Â
Prepare and submit orders to replenish stock items and suppliesÂ
Complete Cycle Counts as neededÂ
Maintain appropriate Min/Max levels and unique identification for all spare parts, materials, supplies, and toolsÂ
Prepare and package items for shipping to vendors for repair when needed.Â
Advise planners, production personnel, and internal users on the appropriateness of requested parts, supplies, or materialsÂ
Participate in Continuous Improvement activitiesÂ
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and personal work areaÂ
Work with the supervisor to optimize parts organization and storage systemsÂ

QualificationsÂ
High school diploma or equivalent requiredÂ
1+ years of experience in a similar roleÂ
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and inventory control principlesÂ
Understanding of ABC warehousing fundamentals is a plusÂ
Mechanical parts knowledge is a plusÂ
Forklift License is an assetÂ
Proficient computer skills with the ability to update and maintain computer inventory recordsÂ
Ability to read and prepare packing slips and labelsÂ
Good communication, interpersonal and leadership skillsÂ
Must be able to traverse the storeroom quickly and efficientlyÂ
Physically able to maintain storeroom inventory and cleanlinessÂ
Requires sitting at a computer 50% - 70% shift.  Requires walking through the plant to deliver parts on a routine basis.Â
Must be able to walk, see, stand, bend, and navigate stairs and ladders as needed, lift up to 50 pounds as neededÂ
Detail-oriented with good analytical skills, and be able to work independently when neededÂ

The Material Handling Coordinator is expected to comply with all safety policies, regulatory requirements, and company procedures to ensure safe and compliant operations at all times.  This is a safety sensitive position.Â
