The Design Engineer will lead the development of aerospace hoses, ducts, and components, ensuring all designs meet or exceed customer requirements. Â This role is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, developing, testing, and supporting the deployment of aerospace and flight-worthy structures, mechanisms, and mechanical products.

How You Will Do It
- Design products in accordance with customer and engineering specifications, performing design assurance analysis & testing, tolerance stack-ups, to ensure parts compatibility and total design accuracy.
- Oversee all aspects of design projects, including design, analysis, drafting, and associated product documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve design challenges for project personnel, including the design of test setups & tooling.
- Serve as the primary design liaison between suppliers, procurement, assembly, and test teams.
- Create assembly, sub-assembly, and component drawings in accordance with ASME Y14.5 and other applicable standards.
- Direct or create technical proposals for new bids from Engineering and Marketing inputs.
- Coordinate & lead internal and third-party testing efforts in accordance with RTCA/DO-160 and other customer and industry standards.Â
- Coordinate and lead internal FEA and other analyses using internal and sister-company resources.
- Ensure consistency with company systems, procedures, and drafting standards.

What We Look For
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in a design engineering role performing mechanical design using CATIA and SolidWorks software.
- Familiarity with the mechanical properties and behaviors of stainless steels, aluminum, and nickel Alloys.
- Strong attention to detail, with a demonstrated ability to organize and maintain proprietary files and records.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with other engineers and program managers, demonstrating advanced problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent technical communication skills (written and verbal), a positive attitude, and the ability to motivate others. Â
- Proven ability to prioritize workload and complete tasks in a timely manner and on schedule.
