Job Summary:
The OTC Trade Specialist works directly with the Regional Sales Manager, Outside Sales Reps, SNAB Planning Team, and Customer Buyers. The Trade Specialist develops an intimate working knowledge of accounts within the assigned territory, their buying needs, and account-specific compliance requirements. Focusing primarily on the IBD and Framebuilder channels, they would apply best practices across customers to increase sales volume and create efficiencies in managing the channel. They also support the Regional Key Accounts business and strengthen customer relationships to ensure the success of our partners.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Â
- Works with Outside Reps and Regional Managers to implement agreed-upon program terms for a specific customer, create and implement sales strategies, and achieve monthly/yearly sales goals.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships and understand their specific needs and requirements.
- Lead problem-resolution efforts with customers regarding new orders, order changes, and order status and related issues.
- Acts as a conduit to resolve logistical and tactical issues related to product availability, shipping, vendor compliance, billing, warranty, returns, chargebacks, routing guide, and other account-specific needs. Many of these issues will require working cross-departmentally with AP, Vendor Compliance, IT, DC, and any other appropriate departments.
- Performs various order management duties, including review of orders vs. forecast/ monitoring of order fill rates/ identification of product availability issues/ printing pick tickets/ and coordination with warehouse staff on; order preparation, shipment, and management of backorders.
- Proactively make recommendations to increase customer satisfaction and transaction profitability.
- Provide same-day order entry on orders received before 2:00 pm.
- Responsible for being the point person for all account data needs and providing requested product information/ images.
- Monitor sales performance through sales tracking tools and report progress to sales management or account owner.
- Identify, track, and report on sales and industry trends.
- Keep up with new product sales launches and ensure the sales team is current.
- Review and process orders (including ASAP) and customer requests in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction and in line with the Collaborative Customer order management process.
- Identify where improvement is needed in sales processes and systems and make suggestions for improvements.
- Engage in forecasting, planning, and account resource allocation and account strategy.
- Interact and coordinate with the sales team and other department staff members.
- Periodically travel to account for meetings, Sales Planning, and Training.
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.

Job Qualifications:Â
Â
- 2 – 3 years of experience, preferably in the cycling/running industry in inside/outside sales or customer service.
- Knowledge of JD Edwards and/or basic inventory and sales order management systems.
- Must have intermediate/advanced experience using Windows and Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Proficient in AS400, CRM, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Must have a strong customer focus and the ability to establish and develop strong relationships with retailers and key accounts.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Leadership and team player skills.
- Strong organization and communication skills and display excellent attention to detail.
- Have the ability to multi-task and prioritize heavy workloads. Â Have the flexibility to manage changing priorities and project work in addition to day-to-day responsibilities.
