Your Role on the Team

Position Summary:

The Sterile Processing Dept. Supervisor will supervise, prioritize, and coordinate team work flow for the shift. Will ensure the appropriate decontamination, cleaning, processing and sterilization of supplies and equipment dispensed by the department. The supervisor acts as a resource, and ensures that infection control practices are followed. Coordinates, plans and assigns workloads and manages employee activities, time reporting, and scheduling. Will manage the performance of team members to ensure excellent customer service and effective operations; this includes, completion of performance evaluations and corrective/disciplinary action if necessary.


What It Takes to be Successful

Required Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of an accredited school of Sterile Processing or Surgical Technology or 18 months relevant Sterile Processing experience
  • Minimum three years’ work experience as a CST in a leadership capacity
  • Knowledge and practice of infectious control techniques and medical terminology
  • Current CRCST or CST certification

  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced healthcare environment
